Ear screening program details of Prabhat Secondary School,

Chandragiri, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Karina Giri, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms Roshna Shrestha & Ella Breese

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 636
• Total number of students with normal findings: 349 (54.87%)
• Total number of students with wax: 228 (35.85%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 4 (0.63%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 55 (8.65%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 24 (3.77%)
