Ear screening program details of Shree Bal Uddhar Secondary School,

Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms Karina Giri, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms Lea Savard

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 547
• Total number of students with normal findings: 329 (60.14%)
• Total number of students with wax: 170 (31.08%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 2 (0.37%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 46 (8.41%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 16 (2.93%)
